YORKSHIRE HOG ROASTS - OUR SPECIALITY

Is that a Yorkshire Hog Roast we can hear?

"Hog Roast John" (as his
friends have been known to call him) sharpens his knife at the
Anchor Inn, Langthorpe, Boroughbridge, North Yorkshire. His Hog Roast was set up
inside the Anchor, and you may be wondering why. The reason is simple - it was raining
very heavily on what should have been a sunny August evening, but
that didn't spoil everybody's enjoyment.. |

The
Hog Roast itself was a 17 stone (110 kilograms, if you're into
Yorkshire metric) beauty, its preparation having started at
7.0 am the same day The lucky customers
enjoyed a real tuck-in, which included bread rolls and salad.
Our Hog Roast service is an all-inclusive service,
so, whether for a private garden party or a pub's customers, why not
give us a try? |

Another North Yorkshire Hog Roast was held at
the Blue Bell Inn, Kirby Hill, on the 9th September, 2007, a
cold day for early September, with proceeds going to Boroughbridge Community
Care , a very worthy local cause. Here are a couple of pictures
taken at that event -
